Winter Lights Festival in Aurora on Nov. 18
Aurora is ready to get the holiday party started with its annual Winter Lights Festival on Friday, Nov. 18. This year, the festival is located on Downer Place and Stolp Avenue from 6 to 9 p.m. in downtown Aurora.
Winter Lights includes live reindeer, the tree lighting of the living Christmas tree in front of GAR Museum at 23 E. Downer Pl., and several other festivities. City festivities are from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
DANCING, FOOD TRUCKS, POP UP SHOP
AKA Dance performs after the tree lighting. Food trucks including Grumpy Gaucho, Taco Grill, and Gobble Doggs will be parked on Stolp Avenue. A Pop Up Shop will be open in the old Waubonsee College building on Stolp Avenue and Galena Boulevard. 6 to 9 p.m.

WINTER LIGHTS PARADE
Miss Merry Christmas and Jack Frost will lead the City of Aurora’s Winter Lights Parade and assist in lighting Aurora’s official Christmas tree during the Winter Lights celebration, which begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, in downtown Aurora.
WAHS Gospel Choir
West High’s gospel choir performs twice during Winter Lights.
A grand display of fireworks is best viewed from the Downer Place bridge.

Shop at several downtown shops open late for Winter Lights including YM Boutique and All Spoked Up. River’s Edge Cafe is roasting marshmallows outside starting at 5 p.m. The twinkling lit streets will be filled with, costumed characters, festive photo-ops, live reindeer and much more!
Winter Lights is sure to be a night the entire family can enjoy. Kick off the holiday season in downtown Aurora.
