“Winter Garden of Youth Art” Showcases Young Artists

Art by young artists will be up on the 3rd floor of the David L. Pierce Art and History Center in downtown Aurora until January 2017.

Art by young artists will be up on the 3rd floor of the David L. Pierce Art and History Center in downtown Aurora until January 2017.

The Aurora Public Art Commission Gallery will host the 19th annual Winter Garden of Youth Art, an exhibit of art by Aurora students from K~12th grade. Thirty-three schools will participate in this exhibit, totaling 165 art works. Winter Garden will be on display from December 2, 2016 through January 21, 2017. All of the art works are chosen by art teachers or other faculty members from each school. A variety of mediums will be on exhibit, including paintings in acrylic, watercolor, tempera and oil, drawings in charcoal, pastel and pencil, printmaking, photography, sculpture, 2D and 3D collage, computer arts, jewelry, and ceramics.
