Aurora Museums After Dark

Aurora Museums After Dark welcomes visitors to downtown museums after hours on special dates throughout the year.

Aurora Regional Fire Museum, SciTech Hands On Museum, G.A.R., The Pierce Center, and Santori Public Library stay open for an extra few hours for families to enjoy.

The museums open from 5 to 8 p.m. for Aurora Museums After Dark. Admission is free for all.

Check our calendar for current dates. Pick up a passport and have it punched at all locations for a chance to win a family museum membership.

The downtown museums highlight STEAM activities for all ages.

Aurora Museums After Dark is sponsored by Aurora Downtown, a non-profit organization of downtown business and property owners within Special Service Area #One.

Brian Failing, executive director of Aurora Regional Fire Museum, came up with the idea for the pilot season in summer 2017. β€œIt allows us to bring families downtown to enjoy all that our great museums have to offer, and it allows us an opportunity to collaborate on new programming,” he said.

Venture downtown when the stars are out, and enjoy a fun and educational treat for all ages.
