First Adventure Race: A Success

Aurora – “By all counts, it worked,” said Charlie Zine of the first annual Amped Up Adventure Race held in downtown Aurora on Memorial Day weekend. The race brought out hundreds for running, biking, paddling and an obstacle course.
Zine dreamed up the event with the backing of Paddle and Trail, the outdoor gear shop that he runs in downtown. At a recent Aurora Downtown board meeting, Zine declared that the race helped to raise over $7K to donate toward the revamping of the canoe chute in downtown Aurora.
