Aurora Downtown Elects New Board

Aurora – Aurora Downtown welcomed newly elected board members this morning at their annual executive meeting at Aurora’s City Hall.

New board members are Beth Standish, owner of River’s Edge Cafe; Kim Granholm, owner of Aurora Fasptrint; Jimi Allen, owner of Jimi Allen Productions; Kimber Howard, owner of The Virtual Assistant Group; and lawyer Terry Heady.

Leaving the board are Margarita Marchan-Mankus, Stephanie Kifowit, and Shirley Flaherty.

Replacing Tom Bartlett as chairman is Jeff Noblitt of Waubonsee Community College. Noblitt, of Aurora, has been elected to a one-year term as chairman of Aurora Downtown. He had previously served as vice chairman of the organization.

The new board is eager to get to work addressing several issues in downtown Aurora including parking, zoning, landscaping, planning, and more.
