Alley Art Festival Brings Local Artists Downtown on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012

Once again, Water Street Mall will turn into a vibrant city center as more than 60 local artists converge on the pedestrian-friendly area next to City Hall in downtown Aurora for Alley Art Festival. The festival will bring a mixture of new and seasoned artists, crafters, artisans, and more to downtown for the day.

In its third year, Alley Art Festival is the most anticipated day for local artists who anxiously await all year for the last Saturday in August to show off their artistic creations. This year, more local artists are participating in the one-day festival including some young artists who have never shown or sold their work. It’s an exciting day for everyone.

Come for the local art. Stay for the food, fun and spectacle. A creative children’s booth will be enticing children with handmade projects involving two-liter pop bottles (bring one, if you can) and free music on the lawn includes performances by Greg Boerner, Jeremy Keen and Uncle Cracker Barrel.
